The Vietnam Experiment.

EXPERIMENT: "A scientific procedure undertaken to make a discovery, test a hypothesis, or demonstrate a known fact."

Hypothesis: I can have a wonderful new life in vietnam

I don’t want to sound ungrateful, I already have a very wonderful life in the UK that I’m truly thankful for. It just feels like there’s a natural break in usual proceedings now that my daughter is leaving home and I want to use it to test this hypothesis.

Whilst I won’t be applying scientific measures (I was never very good at science) this is really a very big personal experiment.

How will I get on there? Will I make any friends? Will I like the lifestyle, the culture, the people, the heat? How will I navigate this new life?

All questions I don’t know the answer to yet, and for me, that’s a very exciting prospect.

If you’d like to follow my journey, I’ll be posting weekly so if you subscribe below I can let you know when a new post comes out. Or, if you’d like to connect please email me at hannahanstee@gmail.com.

Getting Over Myself #4

Getting Over Myself #4

The windows of my bedroom display a faded Finding Nemo scene and there’s iron bars across. Most windows in Vietnamese apartments seem to have bars on, I can’t work out whether it’s to stop people coming in, or to stop people jumping out.
